Provided directional drilling, trenching, duct banks, medium-voltage cable and terminations, fiber optics cabling and terminations, and 13.8KV switchgear.
Omaha Electric Service Inc. installed a new distribution loop with eight new 13.8KV distribution switches, commissioned it, and brought their campus over from the existing power system to the new. Additionally, they installed a new two-mile duct bank with two 5ā conduits and power, four 1ā conduits for communication, and 18 new manholes. An efficient method for dewatering was developed for each location for installing the new manholes because of the high water table onsite. This project also included pulling in over 13,000 feet of one 144-strand fiber and one 6-strand of fiber through the entire campus. Project was completed with very limited interruptions to plant operations.
